Since 10 years the Duo fatale with JOPO as,bcl,voc and Ingeborg Poffet accordeon, voc is travelling around the world, to show their music on international festival stages or in small club-concerts. In each country they meet native musicians (Duo fatale meets international guests) to play concerts or to realize recordings with them. They call their stile: souldrifting-music, themes, improvisations, fast reactions and with uncanny sureness in the musically communication; a journey into ones own dreamland. Their music shows a modern accordeon, which doesn't climb to common stereotypes like musette or tango. Instead, it leads the dialog with the saxophone in a contemporary and risky way to an orchestral sound. Their meetings with other musicians are full of suspense, inspirating, profound, or humorous, but in any case they are improvising delicatessen.
Because of their 10th anniversary they formed up to the Duo fatale meets percussion with Barni Palm, who is percussion player of contemporary music and extra-European music. After staying 18 years in Bali, where he studied intensively the balinese percussion, he returned 1998 to Switzerland. In the seventies Barni Palm played percussion for the "Vorstadt-Theater" (Spielkischte) and for the still well-known formation Brainticket, a psychodelic-rock-formation on international stages.
The group Duo fatale meets percussion touches the Avantgarde as well as ethnologically depths - inspired by all their extra-European sojourns. That's why the listener is getting the pleasure of an extraordinary kind of worldmusic. With Barni Palm the Duo fatale finds an ideal partner for the highly individually sound-synthese and musically soul-drifting.
Seit 10 Jahren reist das Duo fatale mit JOPO as, bcl, voc und Ingeborg Poffet accordeon, voc um die Welt, um seine Musik auf internationalen Festival Bühnen oder auch in kleinen Club-Konzerten zu zeigen. Dabei treffen sie in jedem Land auch auf einheimische MusikerInnen (Duo fatale meets international guests), mit denen sie Konzerte spielen und/oder Aufnahmen realisieren. Souldrifting-music nennen sie ihren Stil: Themen, Improvisationen, schnelle Reaktionen, traumwandlerische Sicherheit in der musikalischen Kommunikation; eine Reise ins eigene Traumland.
Ihre Musik zeigt ein modernes Accordeon, das nicht den üblichen Klischées wie Musette oder Tango verfällt, sondern zeitgenössisch und gewagt den Dialog mit dem Saxophon zu einem orchestralen Sound führt. Ihre spannungsreichen Begegnungen sind inspirativ, tiefschürfend oder auch humoristisch, auf jeden Fall aber improvisatorische Delikatessen.
Aus Anlass ihres 10-jährigen Jubiläums formierten Sie sich zum Duo fatale meets percussion mit Barni Palm, Percussionist neuzeitlicher und aussereuropäischer Musik. Er ist 1998 nach 18 Jahren in Bali, wo er sich intensiv mit der balinesischen Percussion auseinandersetzte in die Schweiz zurückgekehrt. In den 70er Jahre wirkte Barni Palm als Hauspercussionist des Vorstadt-Theaters und der heute noch bekannten Psychodelic-Rock-Formation "Brainticket" auf internationalen Bühnen.
Das Duo fatale meets percussion berührt sowohl die Avantgarde als auch - von ihren aussereuropäischen Aufenthalten beeinflusst - ethnologische Tiefen. Somit kommt der Zuhörer in den Genuss einer eigenen „Weltmusik“.
